This baitcasting reel marks the first entry of its kind in the Kage lineup, blending modern Japanese-inspired styling with advanced engineering. At the core of its design is Daiwas innovative Hyperdrive system, which includes Hyperdrive Digigear, Hyper Armed Housing, and the Hyper Tough Clutch for improved strength and efficiency. The newly designed Hyperdrive Digigear uses refined gear teeth to transfer power more effectively, resulting in smoother retrieves, greater cranking power, and noticeably reduced gear noise. Its Hyper Armed Housing features a rigid aluminum frame and sideplate that enhance structural stability and ensure precise alignment of internal components for consistent performance. The deep 150-size SV spool is capable of handling heavier braided lines while maintaining excellent cast control and helping minimize frustrating backlashes through the adjustable Magforce braking system. Completing the reel is Daiwas T-Wing System for smoother line flow, a set of corrosion-resistant bearings for lasting smoothness, and a 90mm swept handle fitted with signature Kage cork knobs that provide comfort, grip, and a refined finish.
