Its round 100-size frame is fully CNC-machined from 6061-T6 bar stock aluminum, maintaining the same precision craftsmanship found across the Bates lineup, while housing internal components similar to the popular Hundo model. Designed with swimbait anglers and light-tackle record chasers in mind, the O.G. features durable brass main and pinion gears, a magnetic braking system, and a smooth bearing setup consisting of 10 HAC stainless steel bearings, 2 high-precision NMB ball bearings, and 1 one-way stainless steel bearing. The reel delivers 29 inches of line pickup per crank with a 7.1:1 gear ratio, includes an 88 mm aluminum crank arm, and is double anodized for saltwater resistance. Weighing 5.3 oz and offering 14 lb of drag, it holds 14 lb mono or 30 lb braided line at 100 yards and comes with a custom neoprene reel case, offering anglers a durable reel that blends nostalgic style with modern capability.
